PBIS
PBIS at Lakes
Lakes Elementary is proud to be a PBIS school! PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Supports. We teach all students our three school expectations:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
In the first months of school, the principals and counselor deliver lessons to each classroom on problem-solving and bullying prevention. Teachers also give lessons on how to Stop and Think, in order to make good choices. Our PTA and parent support have helped make PBIS an even stronger program at Lakes!
We also teach students our behavior expectations for each school setting, like the classroom, hallways, and playground. See below for the school-wide and classroom expectations. Students who know the expectations can make good choices.
