Future-Ready Kindergarten

Classes for 2025-26 will begin in the fall of 2025 after the rest of school has started, and will follow the same daily schedules and breaks as our NTPS elementary schools.

2025-26 Start Date for Future-Ready Kindergarten: Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

The program will be offered to families who live within the boundaries of:

• Chambers Prairie Elementary
• Horizons Elementary
• Lacey Elementary
• Lakes Elementary
• Lydia Hawk Elementary
• Mountain View Elementary
• Olympic View Elementary
• Seven Oaks Elementary

Host schools for the classes will be determined based on available space and staffing.

Future-Ready Kindergarten is FREE for families.

Families must fill out an online application. Children will be screened. Next steps will be communicated to families after eligibility is determined. Once accepted, they will then fully register their child to attend school at NTPS following our regular enrollment process.

Apply for 2025-26

Future-Ready Kindergarten classes will be taught by a certificated NTPS teacher with paraeducator support.

Future-Ready Kindergarten is a transitional kindergarten program. Once students have completed the class at the end of the school year, they are ready to transition straight to Kindergarten in the fall at their home school.

There are three pre-qualifying questions asked on the application:

• Is the child currently in a preschool or early learning settings?
• What elementary school will the child attend based on their home address?
• Is the child age-eligible for kindergarten the fall following the program cycle they are applying for? (five years of age by August 31)
